Personally I've never been a big fan of these types of products.
I've discovered there are two types of content consumers for entertainment....those wishing to watch the entertainment and those wishing to be inside the entertainment..... I definitely fall into the those wishing to watch. Because of this I don't like surround sound, 3d movies/tv, VR goggles, etc...I prefer to be an observer :) But if you are into the immersive inside the movie/game type experience then it seems like a pretty good deal....you might just want to wait for some solid content to actually be released for it...otherwise it's a big price tag for little return. Sure lots of devs and folks are having fun messing around with the tech but that's happened countless times in the past and no one has ever really produced enough solid stuff to make it worth it (I messed around with VR back in the 90s and it was neat but not enough stuff to do with it).
